Empire Mine closed during World War 11 when many miners enlisted. In 1945 the mine reopened but gold remained at its 1934 price of 35 per troy ounce. Unfortunately it cost more to bring the gold to the surface than it was worth. However mining efforts continued for another decade.

The Cole Springs Camp is a gold mine and mill located in the Repbulic Mining District of Nevada. The mine is noted for gold recovery from quartz veins which cut altered lava and rhyolite. The gold recovered is reported to be native or free-milling and was efficient to process with a simple gravity mill using crushers and shakers.
This Stamp Mill dates back to the 1800s. It has been used at several mines in the Dahlonega area as well as in other states. It was placed on the site in the 1960s. This Stamp Mill has ten stamps with each one weighing 450 lbs. each. The purpose of the Stamp Mill is to crush gold bearing rock into sand so that it can be processed.

The Meadowbank gold mine achieved commercial production in March 2010 and produced its three millionth ounce of gold in 2018. The final year of production at the Meadowbank mine was 2019 with mining operations at the Complex gradually transitioning to Amaruq which today provides the sole source of mill feed.
